LE RÉGULATEUR ESPRIT FLINQUÉ
A New Visual Language for the Regulator
Louis Erard expands its Métiers d’Art universe with the unveiling of the Le Régulateur Esprit Flinqué collection, A pair of limited-edition regulator watches combining layered craftsmanship, structural dial design, and contemporary horological expression. Presented in two colour variations, deep blue and monochromatic grey, the collection introduces a new interpretation of the Maison’s signature regulator display while continuing Louis Erard’s exploration of accessible artisanal watchmaking. Each edition is limited to 99 pieces.
Regulator. Reimagined.
The Le Régulateur Esprit Flinqué rethinks the traditional regulator complication through texture, architecture, and light interaction.
For the first time in Louis Erard’s history, the watch introduces skeletonized rotating hour and seconds discs that appear to float above the dial surface. This technical development required extensive engineering to ensure visual balance, rotational stability, and legibility within the regulator configuration.
The regulator layout preserves its core philosophy:
Central minute display
Separate hour indication
Independent seconds display
This arrangement enhances visual hierarchy and directs immediate focus toward the minute hand the primary reading element of the regulator format.
The Esprit Flinqué Dial Construction
The defining element of the collection lies in its new Esprit Flinqué dial architecture.
The dial combines multiple finishing techniques, including:
Fluted sunray textures
Layered lacquered surfaces
Gradient light diffusion
Structured reflective detailing
As light moves across the dial, reflections evolve continuously, creating shifting depth and tonal transitions.
The fir tree–shaped minute hand reinforces Louis Erard’s recognizable visual identity while adding sculptural contrast against the dial’s geometric composition.
Two Distinct Interpretations
Blue Edition
Originally introduced in December 2025 in collaboration with Worn & Wound, the blue edition now officially joins the Louis Erard Métiers d’Art collection. The deep blue dial is paired with a beige calfskin leather strap, introducing warmth and vintage-inspired contrast.
Grey Edition
The new grey interpretation adopts a fully tonal monochromatic approach, extending the dial colour seamlessly into the strap for a more architectural and understated aesthetic. The restrained palette reflects contemporary trends toward minimal, texture-driven watch design.
Case and Wearability
Both references are housed in a polished 39mm stainless steel case designed to balance elegance with modern proportions.
Key specifications include:
39mm stainless steel case
Polished finishing
Skeletonized regulator display
Calf leather straps
Limited to 99 pieces per version
The compact dimensions and refined case architecture allow the watches to transition naturally between contemporary casual wear and classical horological styling.
A New Chapter in Métiers d’Art
With the Esprit Flinqué collection, Louis Erard continues building a distinct Métiers d’Art identity shaped by experimentation and reinterpretation.
Recent explorations by the Maison have included:
Hand engraving
Grand Feu enamel
Fil d’or craftsmanship
Architectural dial construction
Rather than reproducing traditional métiers d’art conventions, Louis Erard adapts these artisanal disciplines into contemporary mechanical watchmaking.
The Esprit Flinqué concept introduces a new visual grammar where structure, texture, and movement become central elements of the design language.
Contemporary Independent Watchmaking
Under the leadership of Manuel Emch, Louis Erard continues to position itself within independent Swiss watchmaking through limited-production creations that combine artistic craft with accessible haute horlogerie values. Collaborations with creators such as Alain Silberstein, Vianney Halter, and Konstantin Chaykin have reinforced the brand’s reputation for unconventional mechanical design and modern regulator interpretations. With the Le Régulateur Esprit Flinqué, Louis Erard introduces not simply a new watch, but a new visual category within its evolving Métiers d’Art collection.
