Registration, Identification and diagnosis
Intake & Assessment: We begin by registering your watch, photographing it, and recording your observations about its timekeeping. Our experts then meticulously examine it to confirm the issue and provide an accurate no-obligation service estimate.
-

Disassembly and pre-washing
Deep Dive for Restoration: After removing the strap or bracelet, our watchmaker opens your watch and meticulously disassembles the movement for a thorough cleaning and inspection. We replace any worn components with company supplied genuine spare-parts, to ensure optimal performance.
-

Replacing components and adjustments
Preventive Maintenance: We meticulously inspect every component, replacing any parts prone to wear and tear with the manufacturer's latest updates.
-

Washing
Meticulously Cleaned: Each watch component receives a thorough cleaning in scratch-resistant Teflon containers, followed by an ultrasonic bath for complete degreasing.
-

Assembly and lubrication
Reassembled & Lubricated: The movement is meticulously reassembled using specialised lubricants to minimise friction and ensure long-lasting performance.
-

Diurnal rate adjustment
Precision Tuning: After 24 hours of operation, the watchmaker fine-tunes your watch's movement for optimal accuracy. This includes simulating real-world wear to ensure it meets the manufacturer's strict standards.
-

Polishing
Restored to Pristine Shine: To ensure your watch looks as good as it functions, our experts meticulously disassemble the case and bracelet. This allows for the replacement of any worn components. Finally, the case and bracelet are polished with the utmost care, preserving the watch's original design and bringing back its radiant shine.
-

Casing up
Reuniting the Masterpiece: Once the meticulous restoration is complete, the watchmaker carefully places the movement with the dial and hands back into the case. After a final visual inspection to ensure everything is perfectly aligned, they securely fasten the caseback, either with screws or a press.
-

Final quality control
Uncompromising Quality Assurance: As per the Brand’s guidelines, your watch undergoes a meticulous inspection and testing, lasting between 3 and 10 days. This rigorous process covers technical functionality, aesthetics, and even water resistance, ensuring it performs flawlessly for at least 2 years.

You may visit our Authorised After-Sales Service Centre during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) to submit your watch. Every timepiece undergoes registration, identification, photography and an initial technical assessment before a no-obligation service estimate is prepared.

-
Yes.
Every watch received by Luxury Watch Works undergoes an initial registration, identification and technical assessment before any work begins. During this process, our watchmakers examine the watch to determine its condition, identify any faults and assess whether replacement parts may be required.
Based on this assessment, we provide a detailed, no-obligation service estimate outlining the recommended work and associated costs. No repair or restoration is undertaken until you have reviewed and approved the quotation.
This approach ensures complete transparency and allows you to make an informed decision before any work is carried out.
-
Yes.
We keep you informed throughout the service process. Should additional work, replacement parts or changes to the estimated completion timeline become necessary following inspection, we will contact you for your approval before proceeding.
Our objective is to ensure complete transparency throughout every stage of the restoration process.
-
You may contact the Luxury Watch Works team by calling +91 7710847999 or by writing to us at info@luxurywatchworks.com at any stage during the service process.
If additional work, replacement parts or revised completion timelines become necessary, our team will communicate these updates before proceeding.
Our aim is to ensure you remain informed throughout your watch's restoration journey.
-
In many cases, yes.
Our watchmakers first conduct a detailed technical inspection to assess the watch's condition, identify any previous repairs and determine whether non-original components have been fitted.
If necessary, non-genuine or incorrect parts may need to be replaced with genuine manufacturer-approved components before the watch can be restored to the brand's specifications.
Following assessment, we will provide recommendations together with a detailed service estimate.
-
Yes.
Water damage is one of the most common causes of movement deterioration and should be addressed as quickly as possible.
Our watchmakers perform a complete technical assessment to determine the extent of moisture ingress, corrosion and component damage. Depending on the condition of the movement, restoration may involve complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of damaged components with genuine spare parts, fresh lubrication and comprehensive testing.
Immediate inspection significantly improves the likelihood of successful restoration while minimising long-term movement damage.
-
Yes, subject to assessment.
Vintage and heirloom timepieces often require a different approach from modern watches, where preserving originality, historical integrity and collectability is just as important as mechanical performance.
Where manufacturer support and genuine spare parts remain available, we follow the Brand's recommended service procedures. If genuine parts are no longer available or the required components cannot be sourced, it may not be possible to undertake the restoration while maintaining the Brand's standards.
Every vintage or heirloom watch is individually assessed, and following the inspection, we will advise you on whether restoration is feasible and discuss the available options before any work is undertaken.
-
Yes.
Polishing is generally an optional service unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer or requested by the owner.
Many collectors, particularly owners of vintage or investment-grade watches, prefer to preserve the original case geometry, sharp edges and natural signs of wear. Where appropriate, your watch can undergo a complete mechanical service without cosmetic refinishing.
Our specialists will discuss the available options before commencing work, allowing you to decide whether polishing is appropriate for your watch.
-
Yes.
Where applicable to the watch and the manufacturer's recommendations, water-resistance testing forms part of our quality-control process following servicing.
After replacing seals and gaskets where required, the watch is tested using specialised equipment to verify that it meets the manufacturer's specified water-resistance standard immediately following servicing.
It is important to note that water resistance is not permanent and should be tested periodically, particularly for watches regularly exposed to water.
-
When performed by an Authorised After-Sales Service Centre following the manufacturer's procedures, servicing is intended to preserve the originality, reliability and long-term value of your watch.
Luxury Watch Works follows the documented service procedures of each brand for which it is an Authorised After-Sales Service Centre and uses brand-source genuine spare parts where replacement is necessary. Components are replaced only when they no longer meet the manufacturer's specifications.
For collectors of vintage watches, any decisions that may influence originality or collectability, such as dial restoration or case refinishing, are discussed with the owner before work begins.
-
Luxury Watch Works provides a service warranty following the completion of a full authorised service, in accordance with the respective brand's service policy.
The warranty generally covers workmanship and the components replaced during the Authorised Service. Should any issue arise relating to the completed service during the warranty period, our technical team will inspect the watch and rectify covered defects in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Warranty duration may vary between brands.
-
The service warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, impact, improper handling, unauthorised repairs, normal wear and tear or water ingress caused by use beyond the manufacturer's specified water-resistance limits.
It also does not cover defects unrelated to the work performed during the authorised service.
Specific warranty terms may differ according to each manufacturer's policy.
