the case design and the architecture of the manufacture movement reflect what truly matters

PRESS RELEASE | 415 WORDS | 4 MINUTE READ

For the first time, the iconic Curvy case makes its statement in titanium. Inside, the in-house movement appears in a pure HMS configuration–featuring the sculptural “Stairway to Heaven” escapement.

PURITY CURVY STAIRWAY TO HEAVENCALIBER

Now reimagined in HMS form, the in-house Purity Curvy Tourbillon movement becomes a hand-wound caliber centered on the sculptural “Stairway to Heaven” escapement—designed for the Curvy case.

  • The bridges supporting the motion works and balance are frosted with cast iron microbeads, then beveled by hand.

  • Beating at 4 Hz, the escapement is elevated like a star performer—center stage, suspended in space.

  • Regulation is carried out using traditional high-watchmaking techniques to ensure optimal precision. The balance’s inertia is finely tuned using peripheral weights, allowing the hairspring to oscillate with unwavering consistency. This maximizes caliber performance and long-term chronometric stability.

  • The twin barrels, working in parallel, are fitted with longer, finer mainsprings for smoother, more linear energy delivery—with polished blades to reduce friction. There designed barrel drums—sculpted with flowing curves—mirror the prominent arcs of the movement’s bridges. The names of the manufacture and the caliber are engraved—subtle details that elevate the movement’s visual presence.

CURVY TITANIUM CASE

  • Lightweight yet extremely resistant, titanium embodies both cutting-edge innovation and contemporary flair—offering exceptional wrist comfort coupled with uncompromising durability.

  • The dominant matte finish is achieved through full manual polishing, followed by sandblasting.

  • A transparent DLC treatment makes the case even more resilient to scratches, impacts, and fingerprints. For context: steel has a Vickers hardness of 200 HV, titanium reaches 400 HV, and transparent DLC-treated titanium climbs to 1,200 HV (1,800 HV for the black DLC version).

  • A mirror-polished contour along the edge—a subtle, refined detail—adds a precious dimension to the case without detracting from its resolutely avant-garde identity. This delicate finish, particularly difficult to achieve on titanium, contrasts beautifully with the sandblasted texture, creating a balance of strength and finesse.

  • Designed entirely in-house, this complex architecture reflects the values of a truly independent, family-owned manufacture. Its inspiration lies in a fluid, symmetrical approach that instinctively pleases the eye. The natural opacity of titanium heightens this effect, opening new horizons in contemporary case design.

MIRROR

The optional mirrored caseback on the Curvy Titanium introduces a rare and distinctive feature in watchmaking:

•A fully reflective surface, designed to offer a deeper visual perspective on themovement.

•A discreet screen that conceals the wrist behind the skeletonized caliber.

•The semi-reflective caseback—effectively a one-way mirror, opaque from above—subtly reveals the movement within.
