Rotondo. The Same Soul, A New Form - Bianchet presents the UltraFino Rotondo, a flying tourbillon that extends the Maison's design language into the universal language of the circle.
Bianchet has always spoken the language of geometry. From its founding, the Maison has built its identity around a singular conviction: that proportion, harmony, and elegance should not be applied over a technical object, but embedded into its very structure, from the architecture of the movement to the geometry of the case. This distinctive approach, from above all rooted in the mathematical principles of the Golden Ratio and expressed through the dynamic tension between flowing curves and sculpted volumes, is what makes every Bianchet timepiece unmistakably itself. At Watches & Wonders Geneva, Bianchet presents the UltraFino Rotondo. The same creative language, expressed in a new form.

THE CIRCLE BY BIANCHET

The UltraFino Rotondo, Bianchet's design approach, finds a new form. The round case carries the brand's philosophy, where form leads, and function follows, into a space defined by infinite symmetry.
The clean bezel, intentionally designed without screws or additional decorations, ensures there are no visual barriers between the watch case and the openworked tourbillon,  which takes center stage and reveals the fully skeletonised heart of the watch.  Under the bezel, the rubber seam, used by Bianchet since the origins of the Maison, is treated in refined colour accents, echoed on the second rubber strap and on the hands of the carbon edition, giving the watch an elegant modern look.
A dynamic tension, created through the dialogue between flowing curves and the sculpted facets of the case and bracelet, gives the watch a sense of direction, strength, and presence, even at rest. This balance of controlled visual forces, where curved volumes meet sharper transitions, creates light, depth, and tension within an overall harmonious composition.
The Golden Ratio (1.618) governs the design of the case, the architecture of the movement, the geometry of the bridges, and the structure of the oscillating rotor, each element developed within precise harmonic proportions that the eye perceives as an intuitive sense of balance.
The openworked tourbillon movement, fully revealed beneath the sapphire crystal, is shaped to guide the eye across the mechanism, reinforcing its architectural depth and sense of motion.

BORN TO PERFORM

The UltraFino Rotondo is not only a statement piece but also a living instrument that can withstand extreme conditions.
Water resistance of 10 ATM - Despite a wrist profile of just 8.9 mm, the UltraFino Rotondo is water-resistant to 100 metres, a technical achievement that redefines what is expected of a slim automatic tourbillon and opens the watch to the full breadth of an active life.
High shock resistance - Engineered to withstand shocks of up to 5,000 Gs, and robust enough to accompany a tennis match or a round of golf, it challenges the received idea of the tourbillon as a fragile, display-case complication, a prejudice the Rotondo renders quietly obsolete.
Weightless presence - Weighing only 48 grams in carbon and 75 grams in titanium, complete with their fully integrated bracelets, both versions carry with such ease on the wrist that the watch gradually ceases to be something worn and becomes simply part of the wearer.
High-tech materials - The Rotondo is presented in two distinct material expressions: grade 5 titanium and high-density carbon, each paired with an integrated bracelet and accompanied by a colourful rubber strap. In titanium, the watch emphasizes lightness and technical refinement. In carbon, it explores a contemporary, high-performance aesthetic, reinforcing the architectural depth of the openworked movement.

CALIBER UR01 - ENGINEERING AT ITS ABSOLUTE

At the heart of the UltraFino Rotondo beats the in-house Calibre UR01, developed and produced within the Maison. Very few watchmaking manufacturers have achieved an ultra-thin automatic tourbillon movement, because integrating a self-winding rotor within a movement under 4mm demands a complete rethinking of every component, where each tenth of a millimetre removed represents an exponential rise in complexity.

The UR01 measures just 3.85mm in thickness and weighs less than 8 grams, yet houses 225 components and 29 jewels. The titanium flying tourbillon, freed from an upper bridge, appears to float within the movement, completing a full rotation every 60 seconds. A suspended mainspring barrel recovers precious vertical space while delivering a 60-hour power reserve. A solid 18K rose gold rotor works in concert with the flying tourbillon, lending the movement both efficiency and a rare sense of animated depth.
