Parmigiani Fleurier expands its contemporary sports collection with the introduction of the TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue, a timepiece that places advanced material science at the centre of modern Swiss watchmaking. Developed over several years, the watch introduces the world's first fully integrated Ultra-Cermet architecture, combining exceptional durability, refined aesthetics, and high-performance chronograph engineering.

Powered by the COSC-certified PF070 manufacture calibre, the latest TONDA PF Sport demonstrates how innovation in materials can complement traditional haute horlogerie without compromising elegance.

Ultra-Cermet: A New Era of Watchmaking Materials

The defining feature of the TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue is its revolutionary case construction.

Ultra-Cermet is an advanced hybrid material that combines ceramic with titanium, delivering the hardness and scratch resistance of ceramic while retaining the cool metallic feel and light-reflecting characteristics of titanium.

Unlike conventional ceramic cases, Ultra-Cermet becomes the watch's structural foundation rather than a decorative finish. Developed through a sophisticated sintering process, fine ceramic and titanium powders are fused under extreme heat and pressure to create a highly durable material capable of achieving intricate case geometries and exceptionally fine tolerances.

With a hardness of 1,450 HV on the Vickers scale, Ultra-Cermet offers outstanding resistance to wear while maintaining a refined metallic appearance that shifts subtly between anthracite, black, and blue depending on the surrounding light.

A Fully Integrated Ultra-Cermet Architecture
Parmigiani Fleurier is the first watchmaker to produce an entire watch architecture in Ultra-Cermet.

For the TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Mineral Blue, the material extends across every major external component, including:

  • 42.5mm case

  • Signature fluted bezel

  • Crown

  • Chronograph pushers

  • Pin buckle

The interplay between satin-brushed and polished finishes highlights the material's depth while reinforcing the sculptural character of the case. Rather than relying on visual excess, the design embraces understated luxury through precision and proportion.

Mineral Blue: Sophisticated Depth Through Colour

Complementing the monochromatic Ultra-Cermet construction is a satin-finished Mineral Blue dial that introduces warmth and visual depth.

The dial blends Blackor and Mineral Blue tones, creating constantly changing reflections under different lighting conditions. Blackor-plated 18-carat gold applied indexes ensure exceptional legibility, while luminescent coatings maintain visibility in low-light environments.

The chronograph and small seconds hands continue the monochromatic theme with Blackor-plated steel construction, reinforcing the watch's technical yet refined identity.

Completing the design is an integrated Mineral Blue rubber strap with a subtle textile-inspired texture. Designed specifically for the collection, it offers exceptional comfort while seamlessly extending the architectural lines of the case.

PF070 Manufacture Calibre: High-Frequency Precision

Driving the TONDA PF Sport Chronograph is the in-house PF070 manufacture movement, a COSC-certified automatic chronograph engineered for precision and long-term reliability.

Operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5Hz), the calibre enhances chronometric stability while delivering highly accurate short-interval timing.

Technical highlights include:

  • COSC-certified chronometer

  • Automatic manufacture movement

  • 5Hz frequency (36,000 vph)

  • 65-hour power reserve

  • 288 components

  • 42 jewels

  • Slim 6.95mm movement thickness

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features satin-finished open-worked bridges alongside a skeletonised 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight that reflects Parmigiani Fleurier's dedication to refined finishing.

Performance Meets Contemporary Elegance

The TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue represents Parmigiani Fleurier's philosophy of balancing innovation with timeless design.

Ultra-Cermet provides structural strength and long-lasting durability without compromising refinement, while the Mineral Blue colour palette introduces subtle sophistication. Combined with the high-frequency PF070 calibre, the watch offers a compelling interpretation of the modern luxury sports chronograph.
