The Beauty Of Platinum Dresses The New Arsenale By Venezianico

Soul of Serenissima

PRESS RELEASE | 576 WORDS | 6 MINUTE READ

The new timepiece from the Morelli brothers’ maison, Arsenale Platino, celebrates the industrial soul of La Serenissima with one of the rarest and most precious metals in the world.

An exclusive edition that blends the clean design of one of Venezianico’s most iconic models with the mysterious allure of an eternal material. The result is an essential, sophisticated, and timeless watch: a tribute to the creative force of the Venetian Arsenale—the first major industrial shipyard in Europe—and to the incorruptible purity of platinum.

In the heart of the city that invented modern industry, the Arsenale was the engine of Venice’s power: a place where art and engineering came together to build ships, shape visions, and forge the future. With Arsenale Platino, Venezianico distills that legacy into a contemporary form, once again interpreting history through the language of materials—this time more captivating than ever.

The dial of Arsenale Platino, crafted by Venetian artisans, stands out for its rich texture and depth. Built on a soleil-finished brass base, it undergoes controlled tumbling and a platinum galvanic treatment, giving each piece a living, organic, and unrepeatable texture. This surface harmonizes perfectly with the 316L steel case, enhanced by contrasting satin and polished finishes.

Rarer than gold, platinum is denser, more stable, and more durable: a metal that does not oxidize, does not fade, and most of all, defies time. Like Venice, it challenges eternity—an irresistible choice for Alberto and Alessandro Morelli.

Discovered along the rivers of South America and first described in Europe by the humanist Giulio Cesare Scaliger in 1557—right in the heart of the Serenissima—platinum has traveled through centuries as a symbol of purity and prestige. Today, it returns to the place of its European origin to dress a watch that tells its story through mechanical precision and beauty in every detail.

With a 40 mm steel case and a thickness of just 9.95 mm, Arsenale Platino offers ideal proportions for elegant wear. This is further enhanced by the seamless integration of the renewed Canova Concept™ bracelet, ensuring maximum ergonomics and refinement.
Satin-finished links with polished bevels alternate in a play of sculpted volumes, while the knurled bezel faithfully echoes the “Greek key” pattern engraved on the towers that flank the entrance to the Venetian Arsenale.

Brushed surfaces and glossy details create harmony and definition—a dance between light and matter that brings energy and dimensionality to the case. The Dauphine hands, treated with BGW9 Swiss Super-LumiNova® for optimal visibility in all lighting conditions, are mirror-polished to evoke the classic elegance of haute horlogerie.

Venetian in spirit, Swiss at heart: the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Inside beats the Swiss Made automatic caliber V3250, based on the Soprod M100, operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour with precision adjustment between ±4 and +6 seconds per day and a 42-hour power reserve.
Each movement is assembled and regulated at the San Donà di Piave Atelier by master watchmaker Daniele Zorzetto, who personally oversees every phase with exceptional attention to detail.

Arsenale Platino is more than a watch: it is a statement of style, culture, and strength. It speaks to those who see precision as an art form, and history as a driver of the present.
With this new model, Venezianico gives voice to the past to speak to the future, through a creation that blends artisanal excellence, historical inspiration, and contemporary vision—while celebrating one of the jewelry world’s most captivating materials.
