Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bear: From Icon to Timepiece

In 2018, Ralph Lauren celebrated two milestones: 50 years of creative vision and 10 years of watchmaking excellence. That same year marked the debut of the Polo Bear collection. Since then, this beloved mascot has appeared on a series of special editions, each released in limited quantities.

In 2023, Ralph Lauren introduced a new 38mm case size to the Polo Bear collection, an elegant evolution designed to suit a broader range of wrists. While maintaining the same playful spirit and refined craftsmanship, this new size brings a contemporary balance of proportion and wearability.

The 38mm Polo Bear watches by Ralph Lauren feature a polished stainless steel case with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a creamy white lacquered dial, 3D-printed with a signature multicoloured bear motif. Powered by the Swiss-made RL200 automatic movement, each watch offers a 38 hour power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Delivered in the signature Polo Ralph Lauren watch box and paired with a calfskin strap.

The story of the Polo Bear began in 1991, when German plush toymaker Steiff crafted a limited edition of 200 teddy bears, each dressed in miniature Polo Ralph Lauren outfits. Since then, the Polo Bear has evolved into a beloved intergenerational symbol, an emblem of American fashion and timeless charm.
