The Valley of Inventions: A Defining Theme

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces The Valley of Inventions as its 2026 annual theme, unveiled at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026. Paying tribute to the Vallée de Joux, the birthplace of its enduring inventive spirit the Maison reaffirms its identity as The Watchmaker of Watchmakers™.

This thematic expression is brought to life through an immersive exhibition space that captures both the harsh beauty and quiet precision of the valley, where centuries of ingenuity gave rise to modern watchmaking.

Origins of Precision: A Story Forged in Isolation

The Vallée de Joux stands as a testament to resilience and innovation. Centuries ago, its inhabitants transformed seasonal isolation into opportunity shifting from agriculture to intricate metalworking during winter months.

This culture of necessity-driven craftsmanship laid the groundwork for horology. By the 19th century, Antoine LeCoultre’s pioneering inventions revolutionised component precision, establishing the foundation of the Manufacture in 1833. Today, with over 430 patents and more than 1,400 calibres, this legacy continues to define the Maison’s pursuit of excellence.

Immersive Booth Experience

At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, Jaeger-LeCoultre translates its heritage into a multi-sensory architectural experience.

A monumental ice-sculpted pine tree anchors the space, symbolising the frozen landscape of the valley, while warm wooden elements evoke the intimacy of alpine chalets. The contrast between ice and fire nature and craftsmanship frames the visitor journey across three levels, revealing both the novelties and the Maison’s full collection.

New Timepieces: The Pursuit of Precision

Gyrotourbillon À Stratosphère
Pushing the limits of chronometric performance, this triple-axis tourbillon explores 98% of spatial positions. Despite its 189 components, the mechanism weighs only 0.78 grams, reflecting extreme technical refinement. Enhanced by Métiers Rares™ finishes, the movement itself becomes a visual centrepiece.

Master Hybris Mechanica Ultra Thin Minute Repeater Tourbillon

A benchmark in complication engineering, this model houses the world’s thinnest automatic minute repeater tourbillon. Driven by Calibre 362 and composed of 593 components, the open-worked architecture reveals both acoustic and mechanical sophistication within a newly engineered 60-part case.

Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Jumping Date

Revisiting an award-winning calibre, this reinterpretation introduces a new architectural layout. The open-worked dial highlights the tourbillon beneath a sculpted white gold bridge, while the jumping date complication reinforces both precision and visual dynamism.

Métiers Rares™: The Art of Watchmaking

The Métiers Rares™ atelier continues to define Jaeger-LeCoultre’s artistic dimension. Master artisans combine enamelling, engraving, gem-setting, and guillochage to create timepieces that transcend function.

Reverso One – “La Vallée des Merveilles™”

A new capsule series inspired by global landscapes debuts with editions reflecting Hawaii and Japan. Techniques such as gold-leaf paillonage and champlevé enamelling are executed in highly limited productions of 20 pieces each.

Reverso Tribute Enamel “Hokusai”

Four limited editions pay homage to Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, featuring grand feu enamel miniatures inspired by his Waterfalls series.
Each piece requires nearly 100 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.
Experiences: Bringing Craft to Life

Visitors are invited to engage directly with the Maison’s expertise through live demonstrations, including:

  • Guillochage using antique rose-engine lathes

  • Hand-applied bevelling techniques

  • Advanced watchmaking and balance-spring innovation

  • Miniature enamelling artistry

An immersive cinematic installation further narrates the story of invention through multi-sensory storytelling, while guided tours deepen engagement with the Maison’s heritage.

Le Chalet: A Gastronomic Expression

In collaboration with Swiss chef Gilles Varone, Jaeger-LeCoultre presents a refined culinary experience within the booth. Reinterpreting traditional Swiss ingredients, the menu reflects the same philosophy of innovation and craftsmanship that defines the Maison.
